Breast Lift

A breast lift, or mastopexy, is designed to raise breasts that have begun to sag. This operation can also be performed when the breasts are sagging just a small amount but are deficient in volume. Sometimes a small augmentation will suffice or can be added for additional volume.

A mastopexy is designed in similar fashion to a breast reduction, but instead of removing breast tissue, I elevate, infold, and remodel your breast tissue. The operation is done under general anesthesia and takes about two hours. Most patients can go home the same day.

I will ask you to return to the office three to five days after surgery, when you will be asked to bring a sports bra to wear for support. You are then free to shower and bathe, but I will ask you to refrain from sports and strenuous activities for two to three weeks.
