Most plastic surgery doesn’t require extensive postoperative care.  Usually rest and relaxation for 2 to 3 days will suffice.  With more extensive procedures such as abdominoplasty or breast reduction, drains may be used, but there usually are no complicated dressing changes.  I follow my patients fairly closely for the first few weeks after surgery to make sure that they are progressing normally.
